Established in 1719, the convent “Les Amantes de la Croix de Huế” has been welcoming children in need regardless of background and providing welfare and educations at orphanages, nurseries and school.
Following a meeting with the convent sisters in the summer 2004, Father Patrick-Marie established the “Smiling Children” association which became “Huế’s Children Foundation“.
The foundations purposes is to give the means for convent sisters to continue to achieve their mission.
Located in the province of Huế in Việt Nam, Huế’s Children Foundation provides direct and sustainable support, without intermediaries, to proactively care for nutritional, health, educational and social development needs of local children in situation of extreme poverty, this assistance is available to all children in need regardless of ethnic group, race, religion, social status or political inclination. The program will provide the children with primary and secondary schooling with the possibility of further education.
